HARMAN TECHNOLOGY ANNOUNCES NEW MATT DIGITAL ENLARGER BARYTA PAPER Posted On 1st February 2019 To News
HARMAN technology Ltd, the manufacturer of black & white photographic film, darkroom paper and chemicals, is delighted to announce the immediate availability of a matt surface-finish version of it’s digital enlarger HARMAN GDS FB paper.
HARMAN GDS papers, when used with a digital enlarger, offer a unique opportunity to transfer a digital image onto a ‘true’ silver gelatin baryta fibre-based paper. This process is only possible using specifically optimised papers and until now this has only been possible with a gloss finish.
In response to the frequent requests from many photographers and printers seeking a matt equivalent paper, HARMAN has been able to introduce a matt surface finish that not only replicates the qualities of their Fibre and Resin Coated gloss papers but one which is much more receptive to hand colouring as well as chemical toning techniques which makes this hybrid technology product completely unique.
“It has taken a number of years to develop the HARMAN GDS FB Matt paper and we are delighted by the results. Feedback from the market trials of the product has been spectacular so we are really excited about finally being able to get a product such as this out to our photo lab customers.” Commented Giles Branthwaite, Sales & Marketing Director.
HARMAN GDS FB Matt paper is initially available in 1270mm x 30m rolls (see below).
